Special school for ASD students, September start, full-time/long-term position in a Year 5 class with full teaching responsibilities.

We are working on behalf of a brilliant special school that looks after students with ASD from ages 6-16. They are based on beautiful grounds and have consistently grown in size over the last few years. The school is incredibly proud of the support they provide to ASD students across the school, offering individualised support across age groups.

The role involves leading a class of 8 Year 5 students, following the Primary teaching model, and being responsible for marking and planning your own lessons (adequate PPA time provided). You will be supported by 2 full-time TAs who know the students well, having both been there all term. Experience working with ASD students is essential, and holding QTS is preferred.
