I am currently acting on behalf of a secondary school based in Cheltenham that is seeking a talented and innovative teacher to join their team in September. You will be delivering high quality teaching and learning to students. The school is looking for someone to be committed to their students and being fully involved in the school community. This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher wishing to progress in their professional development with a passion for raising attainment and expectations.
Details:
- September Start
- Pay to Scale
- QTS or at least 1 year teaching in SEN or nurturing environments
- Full time
A successful candidate must have a passion for teaching and supporting SEMH students. Although SEMH teaching experience would be ideal, the more important thing is a desire and enthusiasm for working with SEMH children and giving all students equal opportunities. The school is looking for qualified teachers (QTS) or ECT or someone who has at least 1 year experience working in secondary schools teaching or covering classes.
To be considered for this role you must have excellent experience working with children with additional needs; it is desirable you have knowledge of needs including ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health). Your predominant duties will include teaching core subjects to a small group of students who are struggling to cope with the mainstream classroom setting. You must be able to handle situations calmly, bringing a positive, patient attitude to the environment.
The amazing teaching staff at this school work as a team to support children not just with their learning but developing and growing as individuals.
