I'm working on behalf of a fantastic special school based in Bristol that are looking for a Year 7 SEMH Teacher to join them from January. The school look after mostly SEMH students and have existed as a school for a number of years now. The school are incredibly proud of the important work they do there and support students who can be very challenging.
The role is within a Year 7 class where you will be expected to plan, mark and lead lessons following a primary model. The class consists of 8 students where you will be supported by 2 permanent TA's that know the students well. It is essential that you have had experience working with SEMH/SEN students before, preferably within a special school setting. Due to the needs of the students, you must be confident dealing with challenging behaviour, be patient, resilient and truly love what you do!
