We work closely with a fantastic special school based in West Bristol that are looking for an HLTA to support across the school in a variety of different classes. The school looks after a range of special needs but are primarily focused around students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs. This school is incredibly well respected in the area and boasts a high retention rate when it comes to their staff!

The role of HLTA at this school is incredibly mixed; you are treated as the school's all-rounder! The school has a primary site & secondary site right next to each other and you would support across both sites wherever there are gaps. Mostly the role will be revolved around leading classes in pre-planned cover, so possessing strong classroom management is important. Due to the needs of the students, you will need to feel confident in managing challenging behaviour and have experience of working with SEN/SEMH students.
