This Primary School in the BS34 area is looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to work 37 hours per week beginning at the start of June. This nursery provides a safe environment where children can explore, experiment, plan and make decisions for themselves. The Role

This Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early years team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and education to children aged 0–5, supporting their development in line with the EYFS framework. You will plan engaging activities, monitor progress through observations and assessments, and create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You must have a lively, bubbly personality and have excellent communication skills.

You will be expected to:

  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 in Early Years Education).
  • Demonstrate a warm, nurturing, and patient approach with children.
  • Understand child development and use this to plan age-appropriate activities.
  • Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure child welfare is a top priority.
  • Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence through play-based learning.
