Do you have experience working with children? An incredible 3 form entry Primary School in North Bristol is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join one of their KS1 classes. This Primary School is a great place to grow as a professional, they highly believe that the support staff are key to developing children’s learning to their full potential. The Role

You will be joining a great team within the KS1 classrooms, supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis and in small groups. You will be running interventions focusing on core subjects, developing children’s understanding and knowledge. The Head Teacher is also looking for a candidate who has had experience working with SEND children as there may be times that you will need to work 1 to 1 with SEND children in the KS1 classrooms.

You will be expected to:

  • Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.
  • Able to communicate and work with the Class Teacher closely.
  • Hold high expectations of the children’s development and work.
  • Liaise with the SENCo for additional activities to support SEND children.
  • Show initiative and flexibility.
  • Resource and deliver interventions - assessing and developing future planning.
