A wonderful Primary School in the BS10 area of North Bristol is currently seeking a number of Learning Support Assistants to work 1 to 1 with some SEN pupils across the school in the new academic year. This school is a 2 form entry school, where the staff are highly committed and work together seamlessly to create a positive learning environment where children can thrive. The school goes above and beyond in providing enriching programmes and activities.
The Role
There are multiple opportunities at this school across their EYFS and KS1 classrooms. The roles all start in the new academic year. You will be working closely with the Class Teachers and SENCO to understand the needs and EHCPs for your 1 to 1 student, knowing how best to support them, building strong relationships and using your initiative to adapt lessons and environments.
You will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess children's development.
- Have prior experience working with children or in a school environment.
- Opportunity to work 1:1 with SEND children.
- Use your knowledge and relationship to understand what the child may need.
- Support with emotional and social development.
