Full-time position in a special school, ideally with an immediate start from 8:15am to 4:15pm. We are proud to be working with an independent day special educational needs school for children and young people with SpLD and associated challenges. The school is looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of teaching students with additional needs and experience of preparing learners for a range of qualifications.

You will be working with enthusiastic learners and a dedicated, supportive staff team in a unique and nurturing environment.

The role: You must demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to focus on the progress of learners on a whole school basis. Excellent classroom management skills are essential, and you should be able to inspire and motivate students. The role involves teaching Creative Media, which is a mixture of different subjects specifically designed to help students prepare for life after school. Ideally, you would have experience with KS3 & KS4 learners, and/or those working below national expectations, to support them in achieving their best, up to and including GCSE where appropriate.
