We are working on behalf of an incredibly well-respected special school in North Bristol/South Gloucestershire that is in need of a 1to1 SEN Learning Support Assistant. The school looks after a wide range of special needs and disabilities for ages 4-16. They have operated successfully in the area for a number of years and are very proud of the team they have there, united in their goal of providing a happy environment for these students.
The role is a 1-1 position where you will be supporting a young boy with complex ASD. The student is lovely but has fairly complex needs, requiring support inside and outside of the classroom. You will have a real opportunity to make a monumental difference in this child's life. It is imperative that you have worked with ASD before, preferably within an educational setting. This is a full-time position where you would preferably be able to start straight away.
