We are working on behalf of a lovely special school that is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support in a KS1 class of students with a range of special needs and disabilities. Mostly the needs of the students are physical disabilities, so experience in this area is essential. This school is going from strength to strength as they look to expand, and there has never been a more exciting time to join them!
The role of TA is mostly providing general classroom support along with the other 2 TAs in the class, proactively seeking out opportunities to help students. This role is for a September start, and you must be able to commit to full-time due to the students requiring consistency with staff. Ideally, you would have worked in a special school before, but they are open to applicants from a mainstream background. They are also open to applications from support workers with aspirations of having a career within education.
