Are you a Qualified Teacher? Are you looking to gain experience or simply looking for something a little more flexible? Here at Long-Term Teachers, we work with a number of Primary Schools around the Weston-Super-Mare and North Somerset area who are in need of Supply Teachers to support cover absences, PPA and courses. You will have the opportunity to step into various classrooms; EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 and deliver engaging lessons. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Careers Teacher, we have great opportunities for you.
The Role
As a Supply Teacher, you will work with students aged 4 to 11, delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring they perform to the best of their abilities and providing assessment and feedback to the Class Teacher. You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs. Working for Long-Term Teachers will enable you to work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your commitments.
Your role and responsibilities as a Supply Teacher will also include:
- Effectively communicate the work set by the absent teacher to students
- Offering support to students throughout lessons
- Managing the behaviour of pupils inside and outside the classroom
- Adapting any work set to ensure each child accesses the learning
- Hold great curriculum knowledge throughout Primary Age Groups
- High expectations for the children and their outcomes
