About the role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the learning and development of children who have special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to individual students, helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your role will include:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Support students during transitions between activities and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
