We are working on behalf of a truly brilliant special school based on the outskirts of Newbury and they are looking for SEN & SEMH Learning Support Assistants to join the school for an immediate start. The school has a number of different opportunities due to an increase in student numbers, so this would be a very exciting time to be joining a school like this!

The role of LSA revolves heavily around providing 1-1 support to a range of different students in classroom settings. The students can occasionally exhibit challenging behaviour, so experience in de-escalating these situations is important. You must be resilient, proactive, positive and have a total commitment to the betterment of these children's lives. Ideally, you would have worked in a special school environment before, but the school is open to applications from candidates with more of a support work background working with SEMH.
