I work on behalf of an excellent secondary school based in the seaside town of Burnham on Sea that is looking for a teacher to join the English department and lead classes across all key stages. The role will involve planning and marking your own lessons, working proactively with other members of the department, teaching all key stages and preparing your students for GCSE and A Level exams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team. The position is a full-time role that is perfect for any ECT who is looking to complete their qualifications and develop their experience and pedagogy or an experienced, seasoned teacher. For the right candidate, the school will accept a subject specialist who has UK secondary school experience and knows the curriculum intimately.

A successful candidate is positive and confident, has excellent curriculum knowledge, adores their subject and feels passion about sharing their knowledge and teaching children. You will be collaborating with other members of the English department and support staff. You need to be able to communicate clearly and consistently planned lessons that have a strong scaffolded plan and are differentiated.
