A wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare is looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience working with SEND needs. This is a great opportunity as this Primary School works hard to provide a caring learning environment for their pupils, offering an inclusive curriculum where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Role

The Head Teacher is looking for someone to work on a 1 to 1 basis with a KS1 pupil. You will be expected to work on a Full-Time basis in Term Time only. You will be expected to support a pupil directly with their social and educational needs. Working closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo, you can adapt the environment and activities to allow this pupil to access his learning.

You will be expected to:

  • Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Have a positive and caring attitude.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher.
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
