A Primary School in the BS23 area of Weston-Super-Mare is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant who can work with continuous provision and support the Class Teacher with any additional needs within the classroom. This Primary School is a 3 form entry school that is part of a large trust that supports each other School to School. The staff members are super helpful and always look after each other. With this in mind, they put the learning of the children at the forefront of everything they do, working closely with family members to support their journey in school and at home.
The Role
This role is a full-time position starting after half term where you will be supporting the Reception Class Teacher with small group work throughout the classroom. The Head Teacher is ideally looking for someone who has experience in an EYFS Setting or who has knowledge of the curriculum. Someone who can use their initiative to support the continuous provision and adapt activities to meet the needs of each pupil in the class.
You will be expected to:
- Have experience working in an EYFS setting.
- Be confident, bubbly and use your initiative.
- Communicate clearly with the Class Teacher and family members.
- Have strong behaviour management techniques.
