Full-time (5 days a week) SEND Teaching Assistant at a special school (ASD, Complex Needs, SLD, PMLD, SEMH) providing general classroom support for ages 10-16 starting in September. This is a long-term role.
We work closely with a fantastic special school in the Devizes area that are looking for new Teaching Assistants to join the school from September. The school is based in a fantastic location with brand new facilities and boasts a very high staff retention rate. The school looks after a wide range of special needs and disabilities, which often involve complex needs, so experience in this area is essential.
The role will mostly involve providing general classroom support as well as 1-1 support where required. The classroom teachers look to their Teaching Assistants for additional support, consistency, and proactiveness - proactiveness is the most important trait they require in a special school.
