A fabulous Primary School in the BS13 area of Bristol are seeking to appoint experienced Teaching Assistants to join their Resource Base room as they are expanding. There are currently 2 rooms with staff supporting children with ASD needs. The successful candidate must have prior experience and understanding of Autism and communication.

The Role

As a successful candidate, you will be working closely with a number of SEND Teaching Assistants with great experience. The Head Teacher is looking for candidates with embedded knowledge and experience working with SEN children, someone who is flexible, caring and nurturing, someone to provide a safe learning environment for the children to grow and develop.

You will be expected to:

  • Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children.
  • Have knowledge of ASD.
  • Resource creative activities to meet the needs of the pupil.
  • Communicate closely with the families.
