A fabulous Primary School in the BS11 area of Bristol is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work closely within their Resource Base with a small number of children. This highly regarded Primary School is supportive to pupils, parents and their staff. They have a Special Educational Needs unit as part of their school where children with additional needs work closely with staff members to challenge themselves but learn and grow at their own pace.
The Role
As a successful candidate, you will be working closely with a number of SEND Teaching Assistants with great experience. You will be working within a class of 6 children with multiple adults, supporting their learning and planning activities to develop their social and emotional development too.
You will be expected to:
- Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.
- Have previous experience working with SEND children.
- Be a team player - able to communicate clearly.
- Resource creative activities to meet the needs of the pupil.
- Liaise with the SENCo for additional activities.
- Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt lessons to meet the needs of individuals.
