The Opportunity: Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist provision in the Rugby area from September 2026. The school supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. The provision prides itself on delivering a personalised, nurturing curriculum where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Develop personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and parents
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
- Contribute to annual reviews and support the implementation of EHCP targets
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Experience teaching within a Primary or Specialist SEN setting
- Strong understanding of Autism (ASD), SEMH, and other additional learning needs
- Experience delivering highly differentiated lessons and supporting EHCP outcomes
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
