Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.

Long Term Futures are looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Redditch. This role is based within a Year 5 classroom, where you will support pupils through a mixture of small group interventions, classroom support and behaviour management strategies. The class includes a small number of pupils with SEN, so the school is looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and confident supporting children who may need extra encouragement and structure throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning within a Year 5 classroom
  • Deliver small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
  • Support pupils with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
  • Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Provide additional support for pupils with mild SEN needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupil progress

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Experience delivering interventions or small group support
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
