Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Oldbury to recruit a KS1 Teacher for September 2026. The school is seeking a committed practitioner to take on a Key Stage 1 class, with a strong focus on early literacy, phonics development, and building solid foundations for future learning. This role is well suited to both experienced KS1 teachers and ECTs looking to develop within a supportive and structured environment. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities, including SEN and EAL pupils
  • Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform planning
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning in line with school policy
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to maximise classroom support
  • Contribute to phonics delivery and early reading development
  • Prepare pupils for end of KS1 assessments
  • Take part in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
  • Support extracurricular activities and wider school life
