Long Term Futures is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham City Centre from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children during the early stages of their primary education. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will help create an engaging and nurturing learning environment, supporting pupils to develop the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to flourish both academically and socially.

About the Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
- Reinforce classroom learning through creative, practical and interactive activities
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND where appropriate
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence, confidence and resilience
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources
- Monitor pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support children's development

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
- Experience supporting Key Stage 1 pupils is desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous
- Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc. is beneficial
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Caring, reliable and committed to a long-term role
