Long Term Futures is recruiting a passionate and committed Maths & Science Teacher to join a well-respected Jewish faith secondary school in Hackney from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Maths and Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a supportive community with excellent student behaviour and small class sizes of no more than 15 pupils. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons and build meaningful relationships with students in a focused learning environment.
Previous experience working within a faith school is highly desirable, and Hebrew-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and maximise student achievement
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
- Contribute to the wider life of the Maths and Science departments
- Support the school's ethos and values through high-quality teaching
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
- Experience teaching Maths and Science at KS3 and KS4
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum
- Experience working within a faith school (desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement
