Long Term Futures are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Lichfield. This role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils alongside delivering targeted small group interventions within a Key Stage 1 setting.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum by breaking down learning into manageable steps, adapting resources and using tailored strategies to meet individual needs. The pupils you support may present with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health. This position is a long-term role and for the right candidate there is an opportunity to be made permanent. The school is looking for an experienced and positive individual who can become a key part of their SEN team.

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs within a KS1 setting
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, SLACN
  • Support early learning including phonics, literacy and numeracy
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
  • Previous experience working within a school setting
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, SEMH
