Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in Derby City Centre to appoint a confident and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive early years team and play a key role in shaping children's first experiences of education. This role suits both experienced EYFS teachers and ECTs who are passionate about early development and learning through play.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the curriculum
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Adapt learning activities to meet a range of developmental needs
- Track and assess pupil progress, sharing updates with staff and parents
- Support early phonics and communication development
- Work closely with teaching assistants and wider staff
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Experience within EYFS
- Strong understanding of early years development and phonics
- Positive behaviour management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
