Long Term Futures is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about supporting children's development during the crucial early years of education. The school is looking for someone with a strong understanding of child development, a nurturing approach and the confidence to support children across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.

About the Role

  • Supporting children's learning and development through structured and play-based activities
  • Delivering engaging learning opportunities aligned to the EYFS Framework
  • Supporting communication, language and social development
  • Assisting with observations, assessments and learning journeys
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence and school readiness skills
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Providing personal care support, including toileting and changing, when required

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is comfortable supporting all aspects of a child's development and wellbeing.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Previous experience working within a Nursery or EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
  • Confident supporting communication, language and early learning skills
  • Comfortable providing personal care as part of daily responsibilities
  • Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with young children
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term role
