Provide personalised support to enhance students’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development through one-to-one and small group sessions.

Assist in daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).

Support students with challenging behaviours through positive reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, and restorative practices.

Foster student independence, confidence, and life skills through tailored learning activities.

Help students access a differentiated curriculum, encouraging active participation and engagement.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working with students who have complex learning difficulties, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning needs., * Experience working with individuals with SEND, Autism (ASD), or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, ideally in an educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

A proactive and flexible approach to addressing diverse student needs and overcoming challenges.

Safeguarding training and an understanding of child protection policies (highly desirable).
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

Level 2/3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, Learning Support, or Youth Work.

Training in Team Teach, positive behaviour management, or de-escalation strategies.

Familiarity with trauma-informed practices, mental health first aid, or supporting physical disabilities.

Experience with adaptive learning techniques in alternative or specialist provisions.
To Be Eligible for This Role, You Must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.

Have a Full UK Driving Licence.

Possess an Enhanced DBS certificate with child and adult barred list clearance registered on the online update service (or be willing to apply for one).

Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
