Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher with a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs? Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Willenhall, Coventry, to appoint a dedicated Year 5 Teacher. The class includes a number of pupils with SEN, including several children with EHCPs, so the school is ideally seeking someone with previous SEN experience or a strong ECT with a passion for inclusive teaching and supporting children with additional needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for a Year 5 class.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including children with EHCPs.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCO, parents, and external professionals.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and support plans where required.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to support learning and engagement.
