Long Term Futures are recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Edgware from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary-trained Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to work within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering personalised learning and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Please note: This role has very specific requirements. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have previous SEN teaching experience and be Primary-trained.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Adapt learning to meet individual needs, including those outlined in EHCPs
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider SEN team
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
- Promote students' academic, social and emotional development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Primary teaching qualification and experience – essential
- Previous experience teaching within an SEN or specialist provision – essential
- Strong understanding of Autism (ASD), ADHD, communication needs and complex learning needs
- Excellent behaviour management and classroom practice
- A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
