Long Term Futures is partnering with a Further Education provider in Burton upon Trent to appoint an experienced Motor Vehicle Course Tutor on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking, learner‑centred department committed to developing the next generation of automotive technicians.
The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching across Level 1, 2 and 3 Motor Vehicle programmes, supporting learners to achieve excellent outcomes in both practical and theoretical components, and leading course coordination and learner progress.
The Role- Deliver engaging Motor Vehicle lessons across Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 programmes.
- Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with awarding body requirements.
- Monitor attendance, retention, achievement, and learner progress.
- Support and facilitate practical workshop‑based learning and technical development.
- Promote positive attitudes, behaviours, and professional industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with Curriculum Team Leaders, Course Leaders, and management staff.
- Support course organisation, quality assurance processes, and curriculum development.
- Availability to start ASAP or September 2026.
- A recognised Motor Vehicle qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong industry knowledge and hands‑on experience within Motor Vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Recent teaching experience within an FE setting is desirable; industry professionals looking to move into education are encouraged to apply.
- Experience delivering Motor Vehicle programmes up to Level 3 is desirable.
- Hold or be willing to work towards Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
- Evidence of qualifications is required.
