Long Term Futures are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within a Primary Alternative Provision in Chesterfield (S43), supporting pupils in a structured and nurturing environment. You will play a key role in delivering targeted academic and emotional support, leading small group interventions, and working closely with teaching staff and external professionals to help every child reach their full potential.

About the Role

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons and lead small group interventions across the primary age range
  • Provide tailored one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with behavioural and additional needs
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Support pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and families to deliver personalised learning plans

About You

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning
  • Experience working with primary‑aged pupils with additional needs or in alternative provision
  • You must have a full driving licence and be willing to obtain business insurance
