Long Term Futures are working with a secondary school in Wandsworth to appoint a skilled and motivated Computer Science Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking department teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching available for the right candidate. A TLR is available for experienced teachers with leadership experience or aspirations. Please note: this role is not suitable for ECT candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing coding, programming and digital literacy skills
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track student progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Support wider STEM and enrichment opportunities within the school
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) β essential
- Experience teaching Computer Science within a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across the Computer Science curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Leadership experience or ambition (desirable for TLR)
- Commitment to high standards and student achievement
