Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are recruiting multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Telford this September.
You'll support pupils with EHCPs both within mainstream classrooms and in the school's specialist provision. This rewarding role involves working with children with Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
In this role, you will:
- Support pupils with EHCPs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Work across classroom and specialist provision settings.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, communication and independence.
- Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals.
You'll need:
- A Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Understanding of ASD, SLCN and/or SEMH needs.
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
