Teaching Assistant – KS2 Interventions & SEN Support

Weekly Pay Rate: 455 – 480 (After Tax & NI Deductions)

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Are you experienced in supporting children across Key Stage Two with a focus on academic interventions and SEN needs?
Long Term Futures is seeking a proactive and committed Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage Two in a welcoming Junior School in Kings Norton. This long-term role offers the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will play a vital part in delivering small group and one-to-one interventions to support progress in core subjects, with a particular focus on SATs preparation and children working below age-related expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading academic interventions in maths and English across Key Stage Two
- Supporting pupils with SEN to access learning through differentiated strategies
- Assisting children who require additional support with confidence, focus, and behaviour
- Working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver targeted support
- Helping children develop both academically and emotionally through structured support
We\’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience delivering interventions in KS2, especially for SATs preparation
- Has supported children working below age-related expectations, including those with SEN
- Understands the UK Key Stage Two curriculum
- Holds a relevant TA qualification or degree
- Is confident managing behaviour in a calm, supportive way
- Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
