Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class with a high level of need within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Willenhall, Coventry. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure all pupils receive consistent support, helping them to engage with learning, develop social skills, and reach their full potential. This is a long-term role with strong potential for a permanent position.
What the School Is Looking For:
- Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN or high levels of need in a classroom setting
- Confident managing behaviour and supporting social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Ability to adapt learning resources and deliver small-group or whole-class support
- Familiarity with EHCPs, progress monitoring, and tailored intervention strategies
- Sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
