We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school provision in Derbyshire. This role focuses on supporting learners with behavioural special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access education within a supportive and inclusive environment. The school focuses on structuring the education pathway around outdoor learning. We are looking for a practical person who loves the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural needs
  • Support the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons alongside the class teacher
  • Implement behaviour strategies and support a structured environment with high expectations
  • Help pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, and engage positively in learning
  • Support personalised learning pathways and access to appropriate accreditation
