Catering and Teaching Assistant Hybrid Role Starting ASAP Alternative Provision Burton on Trent (DE11) £100-£115 per day Must be able to Drive Full-Time Role | 37 hours per week | 8:10am-3:50pm | Mon-Fri Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance. Overview: As a Catering Assistant with Teaching Assistant responsibilities, you will play an important role in both the day-to-day catering provision and supporting pupils across the school. You will assist with the preparation and distribution of breakfast, break-time snacks and lunch, with minimal food preparation required as meals are delivered from another site, while ensuring the catering area remains clean, safe and well organised. Alongside this, you will support pupils within the classroom, particularly during practical food technology and catering sessions, helping with cooking activities, food preparation skills, engagement, behaviour and employability-focused learning. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupils' wider development and daily routines. About You: Must have a car to fetch the food from a local school and bring to the school. Experience working with young people or within a school, SEN, or Alternative Provision setting (desirable) Comfortable working in both catering and classroom environments A calm, patient, and adaptable approach Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain) Why Long Term Futures: Competitive daily rate (£100-£115 per day) Permanent opportunity within a supportive and growing Trust Varied role combining catering duties and a Learning Support Assistant position Ongoing support, training, and progression opportunities Immediate interviews and trial days available Trial days and interviews are being arranged immediately.
