A welcoming primary school in Smethwick is looking for a dedicated Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. In this role, you will work closely with the SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions, help pupils work towards their EHCP targets, and provide consistent, tailored support that helps children feel confident and ready to learn. What You Will Be Doing:

What We Are Looking For:

  • A level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent within a related subject.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or specialist setting).
  • A calm, consistent approach to support and behaviour management.
  • Familiarity with EHCPs, visual supports, or structured interventions.
  • Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) are highly desirable.
