About the Role
- Working alongside teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing in‑class and out‑of‑class support to students
- Supporting the delivery of engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages
- Setting and reinforcing clear expectations tailored to individual student needs
- Using positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement
- Tracking and reporting on student progress and behaviour to relevant staff
- Assisting students outside of lessons to help them regulate before returning to class
- Promoting independence, confidence, and positive peer interactions

- Previous experience supporting secondary‑aged pupils with SEND
- Calm, confident, and able to manage challenging situations effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust while maintaining boundaries
