A highly nurturing specialist setting in Barnet is looking to appoint a number of SEND Teaching Assistants for September 2025. This purpose-built environment supports pupils with Autism and associated communication and sensory needs. The school offers a calm and therapeutic learning experience tailored to each pupil's profile, with small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratios, and a deep commitment to inclusive, personalised education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and additional needs
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and external professionals to implement EHCP targets
  • Use communication tools such as PECS, Makaton and visual schedules to support learning
  • Assist with daily routines including transitions, personal care and sensory regulation activities
  • Help create a structured, predictable and positive environment that supports emotional and academic progress
  • Monitor and report on pupil engagement, behaviour and development
