The predicted salary is between 22 - 24 £ per hour.

Pay: 95 - 105 a day

We are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the heart of Kingston. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students on a 1:1 basis, helping them develop fundamental skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting a KS1 learner on a 1:1 basis, tailoring the curriculum to meet their specific needs.
  • Leading small group interventions to support the learner and their peers with reading and basic numeracy.
  • Assisting with the preparation of bespoke learning resources and classroom displays to engage the student.
  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for students with additional learning needs or EAL requirements.
  • Supervising the student during break and lunch periods to ensure their safety and well-being.

Essential Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting, specifically within KS1.
  • A strong understanding of SEN support strategies and a patient, child-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young children and staff.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
