ASD & Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2
Location: Haringey
Salary: 110-120 per day

Long Term Futures is recruiting a committed, resilient ASD & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a welcoming and inclusive junior school in Haringey. This role is ideal for someone confident supporting children with Autism and behaviour needs, using a structured, calm and consistent approach to help them stay engaged, regulate their emotions, and develop positive learning behaviours. You will work across the school providing 1:1 and small-group support, following strategies designed by the SENCO, class teachers and pastoral team. A key responsibility is ensuring pupils remain focused while helping to maintain a positive classroom environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Support KS2 pupils with Autism and behavioural needs
- Promote positive behaviour using clear boundaries and routine
- Help pupils with emotional regulation and social interaction
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
- Support pupils to build confidence, independence and resilience
- Encourage engagement and reduce behaviours that may disrupt learning
