SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Gosford Green, Coventry (CV1)
Start Date: September 2025
Weekly Pay: 455 – 480
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? A welcoming primary school in Gosford Green, Coventry (CV1) is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young boy in Year 1 with Autism, speech and language needs, and challenging behaviour.

The Role:

This is a full-time, 1:1 position supporting the pupil across the school day. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 support during lessons and throughout the school day.
  • Adapting whole-class learning content to meet the individual learning needs of the pupil.
  • Supporting the pupil with behaviour regulation inside the classroom.
  • Providing calm, supervised time away from the classroom when the pupil becomes overstimulated.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent, personalised support.
  • Helping deliver learning in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a primary classroom setting.
  • A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Experience supporting children with Autism, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural needs.
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to support children with complex needs.

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience working within a classroom environment.
  • A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
