Long Term Futures are supporting a well-respected and inclusive primary school in Barnet who are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing one-on-one support for a delightful Year 2 pupil who has a rare brittle bone condition, requiring specialist care, manual handling and hoist support.
About the Role
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support to ensure the pupil can access learning safely
- Assist with manual handling, hoisting and positioning, following the pupil's care plan at all times
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external specialists
- Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
This full-time position is set to start in September 2025, but the school would welcome the right candidate to start earlier during the final week of term to allow for a smooth transition.
