Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and versatile Science Teacher for a Secondary School located in East Finchley. This full‑time position offers a start date as soon as possible or for September 2026, with the school open to both permanent appointments and long‑term temporary‑to‑permanent contracts. We are happy to consider local teachers for in‑person delivery as well as remote teachers for virtual positions. Pay for this role will be strictly in line with the national MPS teacher pay scales.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, whether in a physical or virtual classroom.
- Mark student work and provide regular, constructive feedback to support progress.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to develop and share resources.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic achievement.
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree specialising in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Proven experience teaching Science at the Secondary level.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- A current and detailed CV.
- Strong communication and digital literacy skills.
