Long Term Futures are recruiting a passionate and committed Maths & Science Teacher to join a well-respected Jewish faith secondary school in Hackney from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Maths and Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a school renowned for its supportive community, excellent student behaviour and small class sizes of no more than 15 pupils. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons while building meaningful relationships with students in a focused learning environment.
Previous experience working within a faith school is highly desirable, and Hebrew-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Interviews will be taking place over the next two weeks, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and maximise student achievement
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
- Contribute to the wider life of the Maths and Science departments
- Support the school's ethos and values through high-quality teaching
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience teaching Maths and Science at KS3 and KS4
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum
- Experience working within a faith school (desirable)
- Hebrew language skills (desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement
