Long Term Futures is working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Rugby (CV22) to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The school has a strong SEN ethos, a proactive SENCO and a collaborative staff team who value consistency, structure and positive relationships.
The Role:
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on pupil needs.
- Play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, regulated and confident within the classroom, enabling them to engage with learning and make progress.
- Providing tailored SEN support within KS2 classrooms.
- Supporting pupils to work towards EHCP targets.
- Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour support and engagement.
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy or social skills.
- Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or KS2 setting.
- Are calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Are reliable and committed to a long-term role.
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced Child DBS.
