Weekly Pay: 460 - 500

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Long Term Futures is working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Rugby (CV22) to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The school has a strong SEN ethos, a proactive SENCO and a collaborative staff team who value consistency, structure and positive relationships.

The Role:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
  • Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on pupil needs.
  • Play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, regulated and confident within the classroom, enabling them to engage with learning and make progress.
  • Providing tailored SEN support within KS2 classrooms.
  • Supporting pupils to work towards EHCP targets.
  • Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour support and engagement.
  • Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy or social skills.
  • Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or KS2 setting.
  • Are calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Are reliable and committed to a long-term role.
  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced Child DBS.
