Are you passionate about supporting early learners in their first steps through education? Long Term Futures is seeking a caring and committed Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary setting in the Wyken area of Coventry.
What Youll Be Doing
- Supporting whole-class teaching within Reception, ensuring pupils are engaged and learning effectively
- Delivering phonics sessions and early literacy support
- Assisting children with additional needs, including those with Autism (ASD), using strategies such as Makaton or PECs where appropriate
- Working alongside the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored learning plans
- Creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
What Were Looking For
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of experience in a primary school or preschool setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
- Strong phonics experience and the ability to adapt support to meet individual needs
