Pastoral Assistant – Chesterfield, S40 Location: Chesterfield, S40 Pay: £100 – £110 per day Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00PM Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about making a positive impact in students' lives and helping them reach their potential? Long Term Futures are seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Pastoral Assistant to join an OFSTED rated 'Good' secondary school located in Chesterfield, S40. The ideal candidate will have pastoral experience working with children in an educational setting and possess a strong desire to support disengaged pupils. They will also act as a positive role model for pupils, using their skills to help improve behaviour and remove barriers to learning. Placing students at everything they do, this school is a welcoming and supporting provision. The successful candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities * Assist in maintaining high standards of student behaviour by working alongside the Inclusion Team. * Support students in both classroom settings and small group sessions, helping to address academic, social and emotional challenges to maximise their potential. * Work closely with students and families to address barriers to attendance. * Assist with the day-to-day pastoral care of students, including monitoring behaviour, supporting transitions between lessons and helping to create a safe and inclusive school.
